Thank you for this simple but super helpful module.
I tried it because I was looking exactly for such a solution, but here comes the point: To show the level below the current item (subitems). I guess I misunderstood the module name.
But hey, we're close and it shouldn't stop us!
Are you fine with introducing a setting to render another level from the current menu item on?
I wouldn't use a checkbox, so it can be extended to minus or plus levels later, but for now (and I think this is the most typical use-case), I'd just implement the sub-items level.

Update: Maybe I did get the title right, but there's a caching bug with the block?
It seems the block is rendered with the content from the previous entity I visited and after clearing cache, the block is empty then...
Yeah forget it. Still the "other levels" idea might be a nice feature, but not in this issue. And I don't need it.
