Option to retrieve book information

I'm looking to create a simple book-sharing check out system for a group of teachers in several schools. The teachers should be able to scan the books in their class libraries, which we want to use Drupal to help us record them as "checked out". My question here is - would this module allow us to display the book cover, author, or other info when a book's ISBN is input? Or is there another suggestion that might allow this?

No, this module only stores and validates ISBN's. For getting the book metadata (cover, author, title), I guess you would need to access some external database. When I searched for "isbn get book cover" I found the following site: https://openlibrary.org/dev/docs/api/covers. However, I did search for two ISBN's, but both it did not find. So I assume the database from that site is far from complete.
