I have a menu link which is a and and has the menu link title "News & Events". In the settings, I've checked "Include invalid paths alias as plain-text segments" and "Use menu title when available".
When it renders the breadcrumb, the breadcrumb is:
Home / News Events / News
The desired would be
Home / News & Events / News
Since we selected "Use menu title when available", it is expected that even for the menu link titles wolud be displayed.
you might what to try Patch from...
