The crowdsec module takes care of this already, you can configure the ban duration and crowdsec unbans the IP with cron after that period.
As the CrowdSec module bans some IPs, I'm wondering if the auto_unban → module is relevant or if the feature is managed by CrowdSec, either the module itself or the service?
