Add Nightwatch command to fetch a Drupal URL directly with headers

Created on 1 October 2024, about 2 months ago

Problem/Motivation

Nightwatch doesn't provide an API to receive HTTP headers of the response or make a response in background, without changing the browser state.

The direct call of the Node.js fetch() doesn't work because we need to pass the right cookies from the Simpletest Drupal installation.

There is an API Testing plugin for Nightwatch, but it has the same issue with the wrong website.

So, would be great to implement a ready-to-use Nightwatch command to fetch a Drupal URL directly, without the browser.
