@cilefen its a duplicate of https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/2794481 ✨ Allow end date to be optional Needs review but the patch is not working for drupal version 10.3+

So we don't open tickets knowing they're duplicates. You can upload a patch to 10.3 to the ticket if you want but the MR for 11.x is what will eventually be committed.
Not moving over credit since it was known to be a duplicate.
