Difference between this module and Search Api Stats

Can anyone help clarify how this module is different from the Search API Stats module? After reviewing the code base, I noticed significant similarities between both modules in several sections. If there are any additional features in this module that set it apart, it would be helpful to raise a feature request within the Search API Stats module itself. Otherwise, if they serve the same purpose, it might be better to remove this module to avoid confusion, as having two different modules with overlapping functionality seems unnecessary.
