Ajax error when adding taxonomie reference field

Problem/Motivation

When adding a taxonomy reference field and choosing the vocabulary in the form, the ajax symbol appears and then the save button becomes gray with no function.
From the logs:
LogicException: The database connection is not serializable. This probably means you are serializing an object that has an indirect reference to the database connection. Adjust your code so that is not necessary. Alternatively, look at DependencySerializationTrait as a temporary solution. in Drupal\Core\Database\Connection->__sleep() (line 1920 of /var/www/vhosts/example.com/web/core/lib/Drupal/Core/Database/Connection.php).

I don't know. As far as I can see, it appeared after upgrading from 10.3.2

Since others haven't added to this issue, I assume it has something to do with your environment. Can you disable custom/contrib modules one by one and see if the problem keeps happening? Some code somewhere is probably trying to store the database connection in the db or similar.

Changes are made on on 11.x (our main development branch) first, and are then back ported as needed according to the Core change policies → .

Any progress on the steps to reproduce? Without that we can't move forward with this issue and this may be closed after three months.
