Second level menu items not wshown?

Problem/Motivation

Just installed latest version (Vartheme BS5 3.0.1, varbase_core 10.0.31). Second level menu items are not shown.

Steps to reproduce

I moved "Blog" menu item as child of "Home", flushed cache, refreshed page, but "Blog" entry does not appear.

"Main navigation" block has default values: "Initial visibility level=1", "Number of levels to display=2". If I enable "Expand all menu links", in the source I see:

<ul class="dropdown-menu level-2">
                        <li class="nav-item dropdown ">
              <a href="/test/docroot/blog" class="dropdown-item" data-drupal-link-system-path="node/3">Blog</a>
          </li>
  </ul>

but the item is not rendered.
