How to use with private apps?

Created on 23 August 2024, 8 months ago

We are trying to move a Hubspot - Drupal webform integration to the new hubspot API and are facing some documentation chellanges. Maybe you guys can help out?

It appears (under certain conditions?) private apps do not use the "Client ID" - they only use the "Access token" and the "Client secret". I don't have the "Client ID" in my private app "Auth" tab:

I'm seeing the same thing. Where does one get the Client Id?

It looks to me that using the Oauth configuration is not necessary. Private applications should use the Private App Access token which will be sufficient to make calls through the API. Improvements to documentation and UI should be considered to make this clear. It's important to remember that the Hubspot API module is a helper module with no functionality on it's own.
