Exposed date field not showing

I have a date field that is exposed. The calendar dropdown kind. When I select a date, the selected date does not show as a summary item.

Am I missing some configuration or is this actually an issue?

Date filters summary should now display fine in 3.0.x-dev branch, could you give it a try?
