Possibility of inheriting classes from main page heading tags?

Are we just supposed to extract the class names from the page headings and inject them in the corresponding <li>ToC elements?

Yes, exactly that so that we can style the ones in the ToC differently as illustrated in a bit more detail below…

Mayeb even better, would be if we could specify a list of classes that should be inherited via a simple configuration input box — this way we could get what we need but avoid unecessary clutter.

I think this feature will bring a lot of extra flexibiliy to the ToC.js module.
