[META] Draw inspiration from the Spatie Calendar Links Library

Problem/motivation

In doing some recent comparison with similar modules in the same space, it became clear that a number of other Drupal modules are using the Spatie Calendar Links library. While the idea of offloading the business logic (and work of maintaining format compatibility with various calendar applications) to an external library is attractive, I don't see any indication that the library supports recurring events or timezones. As such it doesn't provide everything that this module's internal logic currently provides.

There are opportunities, however, to examine the capabilities of this library and evaluate if any of them might be useful here. Child issues will allow for discussion of the merits of individual capabilities at a more granular level.
