WebGPU enables to run local AI directly in the browser with nothing to setup.
Previously 📌 Ollama LLM Provider Active I wrote "how to make it easy enough and accessible to regular Drupal CMS users. How does one install it on the server actually. How much knowledge, investment and experience does it require to do it in the proper way."
With WebGPU there is only one requirement:
to have good enough graphics card by the site user.
And AI runs on user machine itself (web browser).

This will not go into core as per https://www.drupal.org/project/ai/issues/3483356 ✨ Move out all provider modules to contrib modules Active , we can keep requests like this available though if someone wants to create a third party provider.
And in this case the core probably needs to change in some regards to facilitate this.
