Aggregate JavaScript files breaks buttons on pages

Created on 2 July 2024, 5 months ago

Problem/Motivation

When you enable "Aggregate JavaScript files" under "Bandwidth optimization", interaction with buttons on the site breaks.
On the front page "Add images" and "Visibility" dropdown is unclickable.

The following error messages show when JS files are aggregated

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (500 Service unavailable (with message)) sites/default/files/js/js_Ltuh...DfVY.js

Refused to execute script from 'sites/default/files/js/js_Ltuh...DfVY.js because its MIME type ('text/html') is not executable, and strict MIME type checking is enabled.

Steps to reproduce

Install version 13 of open social with demo content.
After install clear caches.
Visit front page, type a message to the community and try to add images or try to set the visibility to public.
Buttons will be unresponsive.

Go to development > performance and disable Aggregate JavaScript files, save and clear caches
Visit front page and you now able to add images and set visibility of the post.

The above error messages are also gone when Aggregate JavaScript files are disabled.

I am using php 8.1
