Drupal core redirects made in ui do not work properly

There seems to be an issue when creating a redirect in drupal.

When I am logged in as a dutch user and try to create a redirect i am only allowed to select dutch pages. This is normal drupal behaviour. However when picking this it normally does do the redirect correctly to the correct languague. With this module this does not seem to work.

Have a website in two or more languages.
Create a page in both languages using the asymmetric translation.
Create a new redirect to the one of these pages.
Try to reach the page of the other language by approaching the redirect with the correct language prefix (like /en/redirect or /nl/redirect).

Drupal will now redirect you to the english version of the dutch page (in my example). like /en/node/1 when the english page is /en/node/2.
