Media Library styles break in Mercury

Problem/Motivation

Some of the custom styles in ME around the media library create images in the sidebar. When adding multiple images to a field in the sidebar, the thumbnail disappears. See screenshot. The thumbnail preview displays also have a lot of white space when browsing the library. See screenshot. My understanding is that these styles might not be needed and can be removed.
