Problem/Motivation

According to the AP Stylebook, the months that should be abbreviated are: Jan., Feb., Aug., Sept., Oct., Nov. and Dec.

Proposed resolution

Augment date string so that if the start or end month is less than 6 characters, the full name of the month is shown.
