InvalidArgumentException: Field default_langcode is unknown.

Our webforms stopped working after installing. Initially I thought it was a webform and language issue. The error is

InvalidArgumentException: Field default_langcode is unknown. in Drupal\Core\Entity\ContentEntityBase->getTranslatedField() (line 616 of C:\xampp\htdocs\web\core\lib\Drupal\Core\Entity\ContentEntityBase.php).

Webform produced the error but the backtrace showed multiple_select is involved. Uninstalling this module fixed the webform issue.
