How to store content entities and bundle configuration is separate database?

Created on 5 May 2024, 10 months ago

I can't find too much information on how to set up custom entities to use a secondary database.

I want to store all the entity tables and the bundle type configs in a secondary database for the purpose of sharing the information on the database with other applications and drupal sites.

Specifically, when enabling the module all tables get created in the secondary database with all the field tables for for the content and config entity bundles.
A step by step guide will be great.
Thank you.

@webberly, as you can see by the lack of responses the Drupal Core issue queue is not the ideal place for support requests. The 'support request' option is there for filing support issues for contributed modules and themes.

There are several support options listed on our support page (Community > Support at the top of Drupal.org) and there is Drupal Slack . You may get better replies in one of those places.
