Caption text deleted when adding a translation

Adding a translation deletes caption content of the new translation and of the original language

Steps to reproduce

• Install module image caption field (8.x-1.1)
• Create Content based on an image and edit image field caption (e.g. full html)
• Save
• Add a new language
• Save.
• The content in the previous step has been deleted and the type of the caption field has switched to "plain text".
