The core issue is now merged, I raised 🌱 Drupal core issue is now merged Active in this module.
In order to encourage folks to help part of this module functionality to be in Drupal core I think it can be useful to reference the main Drupal core issue that is covering parts of this module in the description.
✨ Continuation Add Views EntityReference filter to be available for all entity reference fields Active
It also looks like it is not that far from completion so maybe patching is an alternative to using this module.
