When using media, the searchable media should only be of the media type that I can use within the field.
The functionality of the media library should restrict the searchable media types to only those compatible with the component's field configurations. For instance, if the media field is configured to accept only documents, the exposed filter for media types should display only document types, excluding any media types not supported within the component.
The type filter should only display media types allowed by the field configuration (e.g., documents).

Thanks for the very detailed issue report!
Issues get fixed against 11.x (our main development branch) first, and are then backported to the appropriate Drupal versions once a fix is committed. So I'm just adjusting the issue's target branch.
