Latest 2.x module not D10 compatible because doesn't supporting default field pre-checked

Can you please explain how the later version is not compatible and why we couldn't just patch that version?

I'm facing the challenge in Frontend views result display.
1. I have configured the default fields in views but in frontend views results default fields are not pre-checked/selected and auto complete is not working. Please find the attached screenshot for reference.
2. I have achieved same functionality in alpha5 versions but now I'm upgrading site to D10 and I have prepared around 20 reports using same modules getting challenges to fix in all reports.
FYI, I alpha5 used few patches to achieve pre-selected and auto-complete functionality. Please share your thought how can I fix and achieve in 2.7 latest version.
