Sometimes it makes sense to first check, which requests will get banned, before enabling the hard ban. Example case is 📌 Google & Bing Crawler bot blocked by requesting /wp-login.php Active
Or the other way around: You need to disable blocking for some time for cases like this.
Add levels or an option to "Log only" without banning the IPs. This should simply create the watchdog entries, but not execute the banning.
Might be also an alternative to disable the funtionality entirely ("Enabled" checkbox).
