Updating to 4.x

We are happily using 3.0.11 but we are interested using Bootstrap icons and possibly Dark mode support so we were wondering whether there might be any reason not to upgrade simply to experiment with these. In other words, is any likelihood that updating could affect our existing theme CSS?

    There should be no difference for your theme between branches 3 and 4. Branch 4 will support Drupal 11 while branch 3 will stay where it is now.
    The stable release of 4.x should be out in the next 2 months as well.
