Problem/Motivation

From time to time it happens that i get that kind of drop shadow-esque gradient with the drawer expanded in Safari 17.4.1. In case of the screenshot it happened while VoiceOver was active:

Steps to reproduce

In Firefox and Edge I am unable to reproduce, and in Safari I am unable to reproduce it deliberately, it just happens from time to time.

I tried to reproduce in Safari with VoiceOver enabled - i was not able to do that. But i've got the idea that probably the fix provided in this MR https://www.drupal.org/project/navigation/issues/3438039 🐛 Visual glitch while sub-menu is expanding / collapsing Needs review will resolve this problem. Let's try to re-reproduce again once side issue is fixed @rkoller

thank you! this morning it happened to me in safari without voiceover active. has not really anything to do with voiceover i suppose. but a consistent pattern i was unable to figure out yet. i've applied the MR from your linked issue and will see if i am still able to run into the glitch. but since i never ran into the glitch from this issue in edge which is chrome based i am unsure if both issues are related. i am not sure. will see how the usage over the day will turn out with MR227 applied

Is this still happening with the latest changes?

  • 🇩🇪Germany rkoller Nürnberg, Germany

So far i haven't noticed it anymore. Only problem is it happened only occasional before, meaning for a while i haven't run into it then a few times in a row, still don't know what actually triggered it. so it "might" be fixed, looks promising, but not definitely sure. Maybe we could keep it open for a few more days and in case i dont run into anymore i close it as outdated.

I tested this and I can't reproduce the issue.

@rkoller please let us know if you are able to reproduce it again and maybe you'll find out how to reproduce it more specifically.

Let's close this for now, and reopen if we find it again. We need to keep open only the issues we can fix to not confuse contributors.
