Steps Reproduce:

1. Installed the module using Composer with the command: composer require 'drupal/recommend_nodes:^2.1'.

2: when we try to add a new content type it throws an error, the error mentioned below.

TypeError: in_array(): Argument #2 ($haystack) must be of type array, null given in in_array() (line 37 of modules\contrib\recommend_nodes\recommend_nodes.module).

I've attached an image illustrating my actions—installing the module and searching within the extended panel.
