Use core Statistics module or Usage Data for a new project

Problem/Motivation

Hi ,

According to this announcement in the module description;

......possibly to replace Drupal core's Statistics module.

If you are starting a new project today with Drupal 10, is it recommended to use the Statistics module still in Drupal core, or would it be better to start with this Usage Data (Statistics) contrib module right away?
or If we start with the Core module, will we have the option to migrate in the future?

Any advice, please?
