There may be times when you want to run a script from a certain starting point. It would be nice to have that option that could be passed to ->run()
To be surpported drush as a flag, and the UI.

This is probably not that critical anymore since the operations properly resume where they left off. Would be a nice to have but not absolutely necessary.
