Make resetting the date field possible

Problem/Motivation

I read and understood both "Minimally maintained" and "Considered feature-complete by its maintainers."

Yet, you're clearly three smart guys working on the module. Why not incorporate the orphaned Reset Date Field → module into your module?

Resetting a date or daterange field manually is a chore. You have to manually tab and delete up to 10-12 times. Where a simple click would suffice. Reset Date Field → is as attractive to end users as Hide Seconds and getting both functionalities in one module would be nicer than having to discover and install two modules.
