Events Logging Events view permission not working

Problem/Motivation

After installing the module, only the administrator account was able to view the events log. Editing the view and saving it without making any (apparent) changes made it available to those roles with the "view events logging entities" permission.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install events_logging.
  2. Give the "view events logging entities" permission to a role, and assign the role to an account.
  3. When logged into that account, go to /admin/reports/view-event-log. You will not have permission to access that page.
  4. Edit the Events Logging Events view. Where you see the "View Events Logging entities" permission set for view access, click the permission and (after noting that the option widget is set at the top, not at the specified permission) reselect that same permission and save the view.
  5. You now can see /admin/reports/view-event-log.

Proposed resolution

In the default view config, lowercase 'view Events Logging entities'.
