While updating a Drupal 10.1.8 site to Drush 12 / Drupal 10.2.2 - the help/descriptive text under the Login form Username and Password input boxes disappeared.
My agency handles multiple single instance websites, all with a custom theme usually built on Classy. This has happened on several of the sites that our agency has updated from D10.1.x to D10.2.x. that have either the help/descriptive text,.
Start with a site that is Drupal 10.1.8 with Drush 11
Update Drush 12
Update to Drupal 10.2.x
Open the Login page and look for description/help text under the input boxes.
Example, using [----------------] as the form input box:
Username*
[----------------]
Enter your Empire State Trail username.
Password*
[----------------]
Enter the password that accompanies your username.
Closed: works as designed
