Not sure this is the right queue, but this is where https://www.drupal.org/about/features/accessibility β†’ directs people to open accessibility issues about Drupal.org.

Problem/Motivation

On https://www.drupal.org/association/blog/turning-takers-into-makers-the-e... β†’ , someone made a content decision to use an image of a table instead of creating a table. They also used "Drupal Certified Partner Credit Tiers" as the ALT text for an image that includes text that isn't found anywhere else on the page. This excludes community members who rely on screen readers from understanding the changes the Drupal Association is making.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Using a screen reader, visit https://www.drupal.org/association/blog/turning-takers-into-makers-the-e... β†’ .
  2. After listening to the context of the page, do you know what the new tier names are? What the minimum annual weighted contribution credits are?

Proposed resolution

Replace the image of tabular data with a Table.

It takes a little longer to create and might not look as nice without additional styling, but this is what's required to actually like up to the commitment stated at https://www.drupal.org/about/features/accessibility β†’

As an inclusive community, we are committed to making sure that Drupal is accessible. Content creators and site builders of all abilities should be able to use this platform to reach their audience. Disabilities are an integral part of our human experience. People have permanent, temporary, and situational disabilities. Prioritizing accessibility within Drupal is critical to our values. Digital tools are so embedded with our lives that accessibility is even more critical.
