I have reviewed the changes in the MR. YES, Since defining sequences as lists is deprecated in Drupal YAML, we should use the mapping format directly without the sequence indicator (-).

** In this updated format, Each mapping definition is structured directly under the parent mapping (type: mapping). This adheres to the new standard for defining sequences in Drupal YAML

This was fixed in 📌 The definition for the 'pathauto.pattern.*.*' sequence declares the type of its items in a way that is deprecated in drupal:8.0.0 Fixed .
