Message "You have unsaved changes." persists after layout has been modified and saved

It looks like there's some issue manifesting itself when the layout for a specific node is modified using the Layout Builder:

  • the user is not redirected back to the node view
  • message "You have unsaved changes." is displayed above the editing interface

This doesn't happen when the default theme is set to Olivero. It looks like there's no error message in the dblog.

To reproduce on a clean 10.2.x installation with radix subtheme:

  • set default theme to your radix subtheme
  • enable Layout Builder module
  • set up using Layout builder on full content display module of Basic page content bundle, enable overrides per node
  • create a node of bundle Basic page and edit it's layout - for example, remove default section and add a different one
  • save the layout, see the issue described above

I have experienced this error around last Wednesday or Thursday and then it seems to have gone away. All else I can say is I work to pull down changes using git as changes become available.

It was really frustrating while I hunted down the error! Oh, I do remember temporarily working around the error by switching to the Claro theme to make my website changes using Layout Builder, then I switched back to the bootstrap subtheme under development.

It looks like you're right. The issue seems to be no longer present with the new subtheme generated from the latest commit. Thanks a lot.
