The Date format has been configured at: admin/config/regional/date-time
The format is mm/dd/yyyy
Please note we are creating a view to manage content with "Authored on" as an exposed filter. The above global date settings are not picked up in the view.
There is no way to configure the date format of this exposed filter.
The date filter should pick up the regional date format

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
Browsers use the default format to ensure consistency across different locales and devices. Customizing the native format would break the standardized behavior and accessibility benefits.
