I think a new 5.0.x branch targetting
^10 || ^11compatibility and dropping 9.x support is the way to go. I agree. It's also becoming more important, since the 10.x EOL is this year.
There are a lot of deprecation notices that I see in Connection.php.
Once a new branch is created, we can start adding changes to a merge request.
