Might it be practical to allow us to use a View to control the order that the user navigates through the nodes?
Use case...
We have a content type called Chapter.
Chapters comprise a multivalued Paragraphs field each of which references a node with a wrapping narrative.
Thus, we can create and render Chapters containing a list of Chapter content nodes.
We use a View to display any given Chapter.
What would be great is to be able to visit any of the content nodes in full and to be able to go to PREVIOUS and NEXT nodes governed by our Chapter view.
I an curious to know whether Previous/Next could help.

Yeah I think that might simplify things for users / site owners a lot, alternatively ✨ Allow easier altering of entity query Needs review is the technical alternative.
Views might be harder in that point that you'd need a dedicated view for each enabled entity type!
