Grant access to edit entities referenced in assigned entities

Problem/Motivation

It would be nice to be able to edit referenced entities to assigned content.

For example, if there is a node assigned to a user, and the node contains a field that references to a media, the user should be able to edit also the media.

Proposed resolution

  • Allow configuring which entity types are allowed to be edited by the user in a specific entity bundle configuration.
  • Grant access to the user based on the parent entity the user has access to.
