Add validation checks for start, end, and duration

Problem/Motivation

A WSOD was reported in 🐛 Smart Date Range: Duration of >=16 years throws WSOD Active by trying to create a value whose duration exceeded what could be stored in the column. While that issue attempts to expand the column size, we should validate that values fall with the ranges of what can be stored.
