Given a similar request done for a different project and the comments posted there, I need to ask: Do you understand what taking over a project namespace means?
- 🇮🇹Italy apaderno Brescia, 🇮🇹
To make it clearer for the project maintainers too:
- When somebody wants to continue to develop the existing project, even to port the module to Drupal 10, which requires new code to be written, the issue that is created is either Offering to maintain Shave or Offering to co-maintain Shave
- When somebody wants to create a new project, but the machine name for the new project is already taken by an obsolete project (which means a project that has a release for Drupal 6, but not for Drupal 7, for example), then the created issue is Taking over the Shave namespace
In Taking over the Shave namespace, the project owner is changed, while in Offering to maintain Shave the project owner is not changed.
If the project maintainers are fine with these changes, then it is fine for everybody, but the project maintainers must know what this request is about.
