The operations "Move to Book" and "Remove from Book" that came with the D7 module do not seem to be available in this version. If nodes need to be added to a Book in bulk, this feature is really useful.
Will these actions be included at some point or am I missing something in the module configuration?

It’s not included in the module and there are no plans to implement this. If you’re willing to work on it, I think it’d be best as a core patch (there are plans to move book to contrib eventually)
