Add link to the "Hotkeys for Save" module to the "Similar projects" section and explain the difference between them

A module with the same functionality has existed since 2018 and is called Hotkeys for Save . It seems it make sense to add a link to it in the "Similar projects" section. It would also be helpful to explain how these modules differ from each other.

It does seem as though the modules as very similar. In fact, had I realized a year ago that Hotkeys for Save existed I probably wouldn't have created Keysave. That said, the two modules do seem to be a little different in how they work. Keysave works on forms provided they meet specific criteria, whereas Hotkeys for Save seems to attach its library to all pages provided the user has the permission. Also, the approach seems to be a little different for the selectors used to attach the event listeners.

I see there is an issue open about using Hotkeys for Save with Gin, whereas Keysave was develop with support from Gin from the start.

I am certainly open to adding a link to Hotkeys for Save on the project page.

  • Thank you. The issue with Gin is fixed now.

The project page has been updated. In a similar vein, adding Keysave to the Similar Modules section of the Hotkeys for Save project page would be appreciated.
