Youtube block only works if block is positioned?

Created on 31 October 2023, about 1 year ago

Problem/Motivation

Is it possible that blocking youtube videos only work if the cookie UI block is placed somewhere using the block interface?
With google forcing us to certified CMP with the help of the EU force, we have TWO banners then.

It would be nice if the youtube cookie block also would work without having to place the cookie ui block and showing the banner.

@marcoka you're right and the youtube blocking is not intended to work separately from COOKiES.
Please watch out for other modules doing only that or for a combined third party solution. Sorry and thank you.

It's simply an edge-case which would mean a lot of work and complicated redesigns. Super expensive for just a few people. Feel free to fork this feature otherwise.

    Perhaps https://www.drupal.org/project/cookie_content_blocker ?
