Braintree Cannot use a paymentMethodNonce more than once.

Problem/Motivation

We have recently started using Braintree and got this error. I found a few issues that may be related, but wanted to make sure it's not something basic that we missed out.
We have simply enabled the module and set up the payment as described.
We are using multiple currency accounts with Braintree and that looks like may be related https://www.drupal.org/project/commerce_braintree/issues/3324779 🐛 Invalid 3DS2 implementation Needs review
I will try and dig in more into issues in the Q and try and recreate on the sandbox but thought it worth asking in case I made a rooky mistake that's not obvious to me.
