Backdrop port (Field collection feeds)

Problem/Motivation

I'm working on an upgrade from Drupal 7 to Backdrop and the site periodically imports content which includes Field Collections using this module. I'm working on a port to Backdrop. If any of the maintainers here are interested in maintaining (or co-maintaining) there please let me know, you'd be more than welcome. And thanks for your work here over the years!
