Problem/Motivation

Drupal 9 support will end in November 2023 →
November 1, 2023 (UTC) Drupal 9 reaches end-of-life due to its dependency on Symfony 4.

What to do about Drupal 9's end of life in November 2023

Proposed resolution

  • Let Varbase 9.0.x branch has the smooth upgrade process.
  • Old Varbase ~9.0.0 projects can stay using the Drupal ~9.5.0
  • New builds of Varbase ~9.0.0 will use Drupal ~10.1.0
  • Manage a smooth upgrade process automatically in Varbase profile and Varbase Project template
