EmailContactLinkFormatter breaks string in node preview

Problem/Motivation

Previewing a node with an email contact field using the email contact link display type breaks if the node has not been saved previously. This would happen on node create or when adding a new email address.

Steps to reproduce

1. Set field display to email contact link
create new node
populate email field
preview

2. Set field display to email contact link
edit an existing node
populate or change data in email field
preview
