Created on 15 September 2023, 10 months ago
Updated 21 September 2023, 9 months ago

Problem/Motivation

The documentation says that the "Limit allowed HTML tags and correct faulty HTML" text filter is required. But it isn't actually needed.

Proposed resolution

Document which text filters are required, which ones can cause problems, and how to configure different ones.

Remaining tasks

Document all the things.

    What I found is:

    • "Limit allowed HTML tags and correct faulty HTML" is not strictly required.
    • If "Limit allowed HTML tags and correct faulty HTML" is enabled, it has to run before "Resize media images".
    • "Correct faulty and chopped off HTML" is not needed either, if it is enabled its order doesn't matter as far as "Resize media images" goes.
    • "Resize media images" does indeed need to be before "Embed media".

    That's it so far.

Also found my way here because I didn't see "Limit allowed HTML tags and correct faulty HTML" as being required.

Are you sure about that "Limit allowed HTML tags and correct faulty HTML" filter is not required?

How do you manage issue with bugged or not working resizing on edit again after save a content? Resizing works only before save the node. Later it is impossible without this filter.

Hmm, maybe that is a bug I haven't noticed yet.
Is that πŸ› Unable to change resize after initial save Fixed ? Or another issue?
